Last season the Ibiza company Clownidoscopio Teatre already amazed us with Fràgil, a show for the whole family in which the combination of humour and poetry invited us to discover the mysteries of life. With Refugi, the duo formed by David Novell and Monma Mingot uses the ingredients that best dominate - lyricism, wit and joviality - with the most careful clown techniques, to recreate a sharp, delicate and intense look at human relationships. Two characters, two realities. That of someone who creates their own world, because they need a place to feel safe (refuge) and that of someone who, having lost everything, flees in search of a new place in the world (refugee). Two very present situations that converge towards the same outcome: learning to live together in harmony and respect; to be able, in short, to embrace and understand difference as an intrinsic obligation to what it means to be human.

Co-production Teatro Principal de Palma, Teatre Principal de Maó, Sa Xerxa de Teatre Infantil i Juvenil de las Illes Balears, Instituto de Estudios Baleáricos (IEB) and Clownidoscopio Teatre with the collaboration of Ajuntament de Santa Eulària des Riu, Consell d’Eivissa y Limfjordsteatret
