Por is the theatrical version of the Catalan story El pou cec written in 1975 by Antoni Mus. It was performed for the first time in 1977 by the Companyia Xesc Forteza. Based on a real event, Por is set in Manacor, Majorca, in the context of the Spanish Civil War. Mus tells the story of a Republican who hides during the war out of fear of repression by the rebels.
