Joana Serrat is deemed one of the most promising voices of the Spanish musical industry. The young Catalan singer-songwriter has been able to convince both the national and international audiences and critic with the five records released so far. Her songs mainly alternate English with some minor use of the Catalan language. Along her musical career she has worked with well-known producers such as Howard Bilerman (from Arcade Ferio) and musicians such as Neil Halstead, Gavin Gardiner, Aaron Goldstein, Ryan Boldt and Basia Bulat.
For the last few years, Joana Serrat has performed on the stages of some national festivals such as the FIB, Sonorama, Low, Primavera Sound, WAM and Cruïlla among many others. She has also toured around Europe, the United Kingdom, the USA, Canada and South Africa, sometimes sharing the limelight with great names such as those of Kris Kristofferson, Band of Horses, Neko Case, The Jayhawks and Ryan Bingham. Her albums have been awarded a multitude of prizes and mentions, both in Spain and abroad (England, the USA an Australia).
