A magical, authentic, intimate and delicate experience. This is the Biblioteca de ruidos y sonidos (Library of noises and sounds), the new project by two unique creative personalities: José Antonio Portillo and the versatile musician, classical percussionist, composer and creator of shows, Enric Monfort. An installation that sits on the border between the theatrical and the experiential, midway between the sonorous and the poetic. Following in the wake of Biblioteca de cuerdas y nudos, also on the program of the Teatre Principal, they are bringing together their two artistic worlds in a proposal that consciously eschews traditional formats. They breakdown the regular mechanisms and blow up the barriers put up between disciplines. Upon entering the Biblioteca de sonidos spectators will witness an immersive spectacle that takes place in an enclosure peppered with articulated trinkets. This is an octagonal library in which the percussionist who inhabits it collects, catalogues, stores and transforms all the sounds in a process that explores their physical reality, and at the same time, their emotional meaning. A prodigious mechanical installation that delves into the poetry of sound.
