Theatre company T de Teatre debuts its twelfth production, Cançó per tornar a casa, which is based on a text written by Denise Despeyroux, one of the most unique and interesting voices in contemporary Spanish playwriting, who also serves as the production's director. The staging tells the story of three debt collectors, united by success and separated by failure, who meet up after 25 years. The three of them run into a hypnotist, a wanted man on the run who takes on the identity of a Scottish playwright, who they put in charge with writing them a new play for them to regain their stardom. After this point, memories, identity crises and new opportunities abound, all mixed with a lot of humour and a touch of drama.
As part of the Principal Plus! programme, the final show on Friday 7th will be followed by a discussion.
A T de Teatre production, with support from the Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies (the Generalitat de Catalunya’s Culture Department) and in collaboration with Barcelona’s Festival Grec 2019.
