Highlands Project returns to the Sala Petita where last season they were confirmed as the most sought-after Mallorcan group within the island’s jazz music scene. With a powerful live performance, the group will once more bring together nine musicians at the Teatre Principal to present Voiceover vol. 1, the new record which mixes Brazilian music, the sounds of New Orleans, hip-hop and even Mallorcan glosa (traditional improvised singing), maintaining, as always, a base of jazz and the spirit of the group. Beginning in 2013 as a jazz-fusion quartet, the group is currently continuing to experiment with jazz, funk, soul and R&B to produce their own songs that draw on influences including artists such as Weather Report, Robert Glasper or Snarky Puppy. Singers Pedro Rosa, Júlia Colom, Paco Colombás, Mase Jara and Mary Lambourne will also take part, along with guitarist Omar Lanuti.
