You might want to get rid of that old lamp the day it breaks down because you are just too lazy to get it fixed. Obviously, it is now démodé and it does not fit with the decoration of your house, but you can’t just throw it away because it is precisely the lamp your mom had on her desktop when you had not even been born. As a matter of fact, you can’t dispose of it because this lighting artefact has become your own mother, and you wouldn’t dare to throw her away. So, you decide to keep it in the bottom of your storage room where you will never see it again; your conscience is now quieter since you haven’t thrown the lamp away, it is well kept together with other objects of its kind in a place where, theoretically, nothing can happen to them, although they will be visited less and less, and your mom, lighting weaker and weaker, will get rusty in her new residence.
Through the use of people and things this play tells about cursed people, miraculous objects and policies that pack, label and change things without even using bubble wrap. Both things and skin get blurred so that we think about everything we lose, forget or let die.
