Parné is a creation, variety innovation show, with couplets and revue, full of humour and truth, born from the fascination for chanteuses and the desire to vindicate them by unearthing their totally uninhibited, brave and politically committed words and ways.
Glòria Ribera – the show's director, playwright, producer and vedette – is committed to restimulating the apparently dysfunctional 20th-century humour to recompose it and show the audience what they want to see and also what they do not. She tells us about money as a consistent topic, both for having it and not having it. She uses it as a common and provocative thread to pull in order to talk about her own creative and artistic work's uncertainty, among others—to break with conventions and bring current issues and sociopolitical questioning to the stage.
