Peix is a small-format solo street performance, taking inspiration from the circus and clowns. It is a poetically absurd reflection on what it means to be Majorcan, on the impact of tourism, the struggle for power, emptiness, silence and solitude faced with the immense, on the ridiculousness of being an adult and the nostalgia of being a child. A metaphorical journey to the depths of humanity to look for what it is that keeps us swimming, searching and rowing in the face of the magnitude and the unpredictable, yet always astonishing, force of the waves.
A co-production with Fira Tàrrega 2019 Created with help from: Testimoni Escènic Cal Gras, Ca l’Estruch and Sabadell City Council, Escena Poblenou and Trapezi. With additional support from the Office of Support for Cultural Initiatives (OSIC, Generalitat de Catalunya).
