The story of the group Mal Pelo (Premio Nacional de Cataluña 2002 (Catalan national prize) and Premio Nacional de Danza 2009 (national dance prize)), one year short of being thirty years old, has been rising in a non-linear fashion. María Muñoz and Pep Ramis have been growing at the same time as they have been leaving few corners of contemporary dance unexplored. Now they’re climbing one step further with The Mountain, the Truth & the Paradise, a creation by Pep Ramis that he interprets himself in the form of a solo that is also a specific gaze, vibrant and cathartic on spirituality, the tragicomedy of the human condition, always between the gods and the earth, and the possibility of imagining new fictions.
