Descent into the a hell called 'Vorònia'
Hypnotic, moving, poetic and majestic. This is Vorònia, moral indignation brought to the stage by La Veronal. The company directed by Marcos Morau (Spanish National Dance Prize, 2013) descends to the abysms of evil in order to catch a glimpse of the obscure reverse side of the human condition, crouched in Georgia’s impressive cavern, Vorònia, the world’s deepest. A physical allegory of the inferno. The piece offers an explosive and mysterious combination of movement, text and image, a sign of the culturally mixed identity of La Veronal, founded in 2005 by artists from the worlds of dance, cinema, photography, and literature, under the auspices of Mercat de les Flors. Since then they have invented a unique language that gives substance to all these disciplines and has helped them acquire an unstoppable international reputation. This year alone they tour through the UK, Korea, Slovakia, China, France, Canada… It will be the first time that they stopover on Majorca. They visit us moreover with the ‘integral’ version of Vorònia, with live orchestra and choir. Quite an experience.
