The overwhelming personality of the Flamenco dancer Rocío Molina reaches its artistic peak in her last show Caída del cielo, which saw her triumph at the last Premios Max for performing arts with the awards for the Best Female Performer, Choreography and Lighting Design. This is a spectacle that emerges from a suggestive play of contrasts: between balance and excess, the refined and the grotesque, elegance and savagery, sobriety and voluptuousness, purity and obscenity, orthodoxy and rebelliousness... And of course the pure Flamenco roots also flourish, they are the substrate of a radically unique dance. Molina begins a descent to abyssal depths. She passes through dark places but ultimately culminates with the light of freedom regained. Her body serves as a medium for completing that turbulent journey. It is the triumph of the will. Or as she says, as a woman: of her ovaries.

A production by Danza Molina SL and the Théâtre Nationale de Chaillot (Paris), with the collaboration of INAEM.
