Hexe Concha Vidal
Hexe is a multi-disciplinary stage show which combines performance, text theatre, dance and video projections, all coming together to create a non-linear story where dreamlike thoughts replace narrative logic for a new tale with several open interpretations.
A witch burnt during the Middle Ages is reincarnated in the 21st century as three women who are fighting to make their voices heard against the mechanisms of repression found in contemporary society, not far from those of the Spanish Inquisition. Inside these three women, scores of voices that have been silenced, judged, punished and burnt converge. Hexe is provocative. It sticks its finger into your wounds, it is a hand-to-hand fight with the system of power which exerts its control over us through different institutions, from schools to prisons, in the words of its creator.
