Dance Great Hall
Baalconing Catalina Carrasco
Balconing is a sadly well-known phenomenon in Mallorca and is mainly carried out by young British drunks. Baal is Bertolt Brecht's opera prima, written in 1918 when he was only 20 years old. Baal is an anti-hero, a brilliant artist who rejects the conventions of the bourgeoisie to prevent them from destroying his genius. All these ingredients are reconverted by the Baal dance troupe in a process that takes us deep inside the spectrum of adolescence, combining dance and live music.
