Calderón ¿enamorado? (Calderón, in love?) is a play starred by Don Pedro. It never really happened, but it could have. That way, the audience will know the author of La vida es sueño (Life is a dream) a bit better, a playwright whose plays made us dream, sigh, laugh and think as no one else has.

Sa Boira is a theatre company made up of visually disabled people. Professor Ruano de la Haza has taken 12 little known pieces of the author and following the structure of Calderon’s screwball comedies, de la Haza lets us uncover Calderon’s great secret: his youthful loves, little affairs that had been unknown up to this day. It is a story of lies, muddles, madness and jealousy; his attraction for Doña Ana and his passion for Flerida; his mistakes; poetry; and his sense of humour… And finally, the explanation of why Calderon never got married and why he wrote so many comedies where women were so often laughed at for being in love with courageous beaux and how they suffered from jealousy and suspicions.
