La Historia del Sastre (The story about a Tailor) is the story of Félix García Durán, the tailor. He went to prison during the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War because he was a member of the Local Executive Bureau of the socialist party in the Island of La Palma in the Canary Islands. The play focuses on all the confusion and the misunderstandings lived during those days, the treasons and the struggle lead by his wife and his eight children to survive after having been deprived of all their possessions.

This is a story of survival and conciliation, as that of many other anonymous victims that had no other option than to keep a low profile and rush headlong without too much thinking on what might come next.
