Nothing was known about Cervantes; and nothing is still known. We do not know how he thought or how he felt as he never wrote in first person. We neither know how he looked like nor do we have any document regarding his private life.

Cervantes’ biography is a mythical invention created by scholars following certain interests and based on archive research and on the interpretation of his fiction as his real life.

This play refutes the arrogance of a mythical and unreal character named Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, and displays the quotidian life of a common human being named Miguel.

The thematic focus is on post-truth and its genealogy, proving that this phenomenon is not newly born. In the process there is also an intention of retrieving two values from Cervantes’ work which we consider to be essential in 21st century: namely, the creative capacity of the dialogue as a tool for comprehension and the labour as an essential value for self-improvement.
