Juan Mayorga, Premio Nacional de Teatro 2007 (Spanish national theatre award) and the most internationally prominent Spanish playwright, presents this production offering equal parts of mystery and reflection. Blanca Portillo, at a peak time in her career, returns to the Teatre Principal after the success of El testamento de María, along with José Luis García-Pérez. They both shape this highly skilful script in an interpretation that has received the greatest recognition by both critics and the public. In present-day Warsaw, Blanca learns of a legend according to which, while the world he knew was crumbling, the cartographer of the ghetto decided to draw the map of everything he saw. However as he could no longer walk due to his age, a young girl was responsible for going out on the streets to seek the information he needed. Blanca believes the legend to be true and sets about looking for that old map, at the same time as she begins an illuminating internal investigation.
